Welcome to Our Hair Extensions Academy.

Hairspray's award winning training academy is based in Dublin. Every month Hairdressers from across the UK travel to our school to receive the best hands on training in the business. To encourage salons to travel to Ireland for the course we pay for their accommodation at one of the local hotels. Since our launch in 2003 we have trained over 1600 salons across Europe. The Hairspray instructor team includes Dolores Mackenzie and Ann McGovern, who both have over thirty years experience in the hair industry. The reason for our diploma courses popularity is that we teach all aspects of hair extensions.

On completion of your training you will have the confidence and ability to begin working immediately with your own clients. View all Hairspray videos on our YouTube Channel. You can choose from a range of different training classes to suit your individual needs. All our hair courses take place over a one day intensive period. Should you require more training after your course, you are more than welcome to attend our hair academy free of charge on another training day.

Hair Replacement Training

This hair extensions system has been taught to our students at our hair extensions academy since 2004. To perfect this system you take individual strands of hair extensions and bond them to the clients own hair using sticks of keratin. This system is ideal for creating natural shades of hair extensions to blend perfectly with the clients own hair.

The price for this hair extension course is €995 inc vat. As displayed in video this includes your starter pack which contains your customised glue gun, Bonding sticks, hair colour ring for placing orders, Silicone mat to protect your fingers when bonding. Also included is the hair board holder for securing the hair when applying the extensions. You will also receive your well earned diploma and a professional silver training travel case to hold your equipment.

Wow. Two Machines for the price of one.

The extend magic system is by far the most popular hair extension system we teach. Our hair academy is now offering 2 extend magic machines plus one days training for only €1250. This is great value as the trade price alone for one machine without training is €599.


The reason for the popularity in this system is the small durable bonds it creates. Many clients at their hair salon will pay their hairdressers up to €1000 for this system as the results are outstanding. The main benefit in having two machines is that you can finish clients quicker and you also have the back up if anything happens with your first machine. If you wish to bring a work colleague to train with you their is an additional charge of €400.

Pre-bonded hair extensions are now becoming very popular in Ireland. This system requires a small heat clamp to be placed over the pre-bonded hair extension, and clamped down. This system only takes ninety minutes to complete a full head.

When we use the term pre- bonded, this means that the tip of the hair extension is dipped in glue to make a perfect U-tip before leaving the hair factory. This saves time as you do not have to make your own bonds. The price for the course is €795 inc VAT. This price includes your colour ring, heat clamp and two packs of pre-bonded hair extensions to train with.

System 4: Micro Beading.(no Glue)

Many of our clients request the micro beading hair extensions system. As seen in the short clip this system uses a hair extension i - tip that is looped through a micro ring to create a strong bond.

System 5: Micro Loops Course (no glue)

Hair extension micro loops are now becoming very popular with salons and freelance hairdressers in Ireland. As seen in our video the micro ring is looped and pre-attached to the hair extension i-tip by the manufacturer. This makes the hair extensions application very fast. The system requires no additional materials except a small pliers to clip the micro ring tight. This will save your salon time and money.
